Current Progress/Tasks for Mech (10 February)

The mechanical subteam has essentially finished the first robot, currently named Robot Beta. The robot has a functional attachment, or elevator, which can be used to pick up recycling totes. The drive train, complete with mecanum wheels, allows the driver to move from side to side, in addition to moving back and forth. The mechanical subteam has worked hard to build this robot.

They are currently in the process of building the second robot. A functional drive train is already in place: the mechanical subteam will disassemble the robot in order to remove the wooden test attachment. A metal attachment for the second robot is currently being built. This robot is currently named Robot Alpha/Gamma. The mechanical subteam will continue to build the second attachment, and will also build a dragger for the second robot!
